MAKENZI HOGAN GRAU

Makenzi Hogan Grau is a multidisciplinary creative based in 30A where she lives with her husband, Christian, and their two dogs, Wilson and Gus.

In 2012, she began her career as a freelance writer before moving into brand storytelling for start-ups. Start-up culture offered a practical education in visual communication, brand development, and strategic design — skills she later applied to her own marketing boutique.

After years of working with small, mission-driven businesses and lifestyle brands, an unexpected opportunity to renovate a [somewhat] historic beach cottage reoriented her path, drawing her into residential real estate and the tactile work of shaping spaces. It was a natural extension of her creative instincts, a place where her eye for narrative could finally live off the page.

A different rhythm came into focus — one shaped by making, tending, and building rather than scaling. Today, her current body of work lives at the intersection of home, story, and personal vision, most visibly expressed through NOTES & EDITS by M.GRAU.

In all things, she seeks beauty and purpose — a throughline in both her creative output and the way she works with discerning clients. Her current focus is no different — it’s simply a continuation of her lifelong habit of following curiosity wherever it leads, and doing many things with uncommon intentionality.
