Makenzi Hogan Grau is a multidisciplinary creative based in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, where she lives with her husband, Christian, and their two dogs, Wilson and Gus.

She began her career as a freelance writer in 2012 before moving into brand storytelling for start-ups. Start-up culture offered a practical education in visual communication, brand development, and strategic design — skills she later applied to her own boutique marketing studio.

After years of working with small, mission-driven businesses and lifestyle brands, an unexpected renovation reoriented her path, drawing her into residential real estate and the tactile work of shaping spaces — a place where her eye for narrative could finally live off the page.
